Think back to when God put the world back into order in Genesis. He had a very specific purpose and plan for each action that he took.
And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.
And God saw the light, that [it was] good: and God divided the light from the darkness.
And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day.
— Genesis 1:3-5
God knew. Imagine if we were in charge here and had been given a task like this. There’s no way we could have known what was needed or what to do first. But God knew. So God put into action and order that which was missing, in this case light. And he kept on for the next several days, adding order upon order, complexity upon complexity – until finally Adam and Eve came along, the crown of the Creation.
